KINGSTON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS EMERGENCY SPECIAL MEETING MARCH 23, 2020 -MINUTES –

An Emergency Special Meeting of the Kingston Township Board of Supervisors was held via teleconference call on March 23, 2020 at 3:45 p.m. Roll call showed the following in attendance:

ROLL CALL

Melissa Chamberlain, Chairman Kim Rose, Vice Chairman Sam Barbose Frank Natitus- Absent James Balavage

Also, in attendance were Township Manager, Kathleen J. Sebastian, and Zoning Officer William Eck, Chief Michael Moravec, and Assistant Township Manager Karen Rose.

PURPOSE OF THE MEETING

Mrs. Chamberlain explained the purpose of the meeting was to conduct certain emergency business for Kingston Township.

BUSINESS

On a motion by Mr. Barbose, seconded by Mrs. Rose, the Board ratified the enactment of a State of Emergency from March 16 to March 22, 2020. On Roll Call: Mrs. Chamberlain, aye; Mrs. Rose, aye; Mr. Barbose, aye and Mr. Balavage, aye. Four ayes, zero nays, motion carried.

On a motion by Mrs. Rose, seconded by Mr. Barbose, the Board ratified the enactment of a State of Emergency from March 23 to May 31, 2020. On Roll Call: Mrs. Chamberlain, aye; Mrs. Rose, aye; Mr. Barbose, aye and Mr. Balavage, aye. Four ayes, zero nays, motion carried.

On a motion by Mr. Barbose, seconded by Mrs. Rose, the Board affirmed the suspension/reduction of hours of all non-essential, non-life sustaining personnel until further notice. On Roll Call: Mrs. Chamberlain, aye; Mrs. Rose, aye; Mr. Barbose, aye and Mr. Balavage, aye. Four ayes, zero nays, motion carried.

PUBLIC COMMENTS

Mrs. Chamberlain called for Public Comments.

There were no public comments.

ADJOURNMENT

Mrs. Chamberlain announced the next Public Work Session will be held Monday, April 6, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. in preparation for the next Regular Meeting of the Board of Supervisors to be held Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the schedule may change and those changes will be publicized. The meeting was adjourned at 3:50 p.m.
